Greetings in the Name of the Lord,

Who are We?

That is a question that is asked of us quite often. I think it is a question best answered by telling people what we are not, because that, unfortunately is what we need to do most of the time.

We are not the typical Pentecostal Church that you might have visited (or not) in the past. In fact we do not like the title or name “Pentecostal” because those that hear that often immediately “shut down” because of the reputation that Pentecost has in society today. No doubt you might have heard of the term “Holy Rollers”, well, we are not them. Nor are we associated in any way with any other Pentecostal “Denomination”, because of the unscriptural behavior that they indulge in. What we find is that very few in the “Pentecostal” realm actually stick to the Bible in regards to the way that they behave in their assemblies, and many do not hold to the salvation message of the Bible which was given to us by Jesus Himself in Mark 16:15-20 and later confirmed by Peter in

Acts 2:38.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

This has not changed in any way since the day of Pentecost, yet many that call themselves Pentecostal no longer believe these verses convey the real message of salvation.

Sadly, there is much more Division amongst Pentecostal Churches today because of the differences in their salvation messages and the application of them. The other churches are not divided so much, but nor are they anywhere near right.

Galatians 1:6-12

The One True Gospel

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

We are not an “old established church” either like many of the older churches that were established around the time of the Reformation, and some others since that time. Those churches never at any time held to the view that speaking in tongues was the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. They also did not and still do not hold the view that full immersion baptism is a necessary component of the salvation process. Even some of those churches that did hold that baptism was necessary, no longer hold that view.

So, in general, you now know what we are not. We could go into much more detail about that, but as pages and information is added to the site you will get more of the details.

On to Who we are. Simply put, we are church that really does believe that the Bible is the Word of God, in it’s entirety.

We are however an ongoing part of the Body of Christ, the original Church that began on the day of Pentecost and has existed since then, and still does.

We believe the true “Church” began on the day of Pentecost in,

Acts 2:3-4

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This experience is still available today! What we can tell you is that this event is NOT the “gift” of Tongues. It was, and still is the evidence or sign (Mark of Identification) that all that had received the Holy Spirit manifested.

We believe that God began the church this way and has caused the Church to be able to continue the same way because of the same experience right up to the present time, and will continue to do so until Jesus returns. (We DO NOT believe in the secret rapture theory either because there is no biblical evidence for that)

So, What we are is a group of people that are filled with the Holy Spirit. We have all been baptized in water by full immersion. We have all repented of our sins and received forgiveness through and by God’s Mercy and Grace. Our lives have been changed for the better. Many of us have been healed of illnesses and/or delivered of the afflictions and addictions of this world, all of which have been performed by God through signs wonders and miracles. God has given us the promise of being able to live forever with Him through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His son.

Many today think that Christianity is just one more religion amongst many, and not even the oldest, in fact in world history as man counts it, Christianity is a relative newcomer. Nothing could be further from the truth. God created the heavens and the earth and included in that was the creation of man, right at the very beginning. God has been dealing mankind ever since that time. All other religions are in fact the newcomers and usurpers.

1 Corinthians 11:18

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

We are a part of the original redemption plan of God, not a recent invention. Ask yourself which church you would rather belong to? The original, or not!

We are not extreme in our behavior, and we do not hide who we are.

What we are is ordinary people that have had an extraordinary experience that has revealed to us that God is indeed alive, and so is His Son Jesus the Christ. It is not guesswork!

Ephesians 4:4-6

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

It has revealed to us that the Bible is most certainly true and holds the history of the world and nations in it, and predicts the future with absolute accuracy. We know, because of fulfilled promises that Jesus is really going to return for the true Church, and we do not doubt that at all.

John 7:16-18

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

We believe that the letters to the Churches that the apostles wrote contain information about how to stay saved, not how to GET saved. Nowhere in those letters do we read anything about how to get saved. What we do see is

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Warning after warning about false doctrines coming in from outside the Church, primarily from the converted Jews who could not leave Judaism behind. Also instruction on how to live your life in Jesus with purity and high ethical standards, leaving behind the old ways of life and living the new. New life is a feat that without the Holy Spirit is very difficult to accomplish, not impossible, but extremely difficult. Without the Spirit of Christ living inside of you it is all in your own strength.

Romans 8:9-10

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

We have already explained how you will know you have received the Holy Spirit. That is God’s Word, not private doctrine we have invented. This experience has NOT passed away as some would suppose.

What we are is The Church, in which everyone has had the experience of receiving the Holy Spirit, speaking in Tongues. Just like the Word of God has told us would happen

That is Who We Are
